Artisphere’s current exhibition, “The Next Wave: Industrial Design Innovation in the 21st Century,” is a 4,000-square-foot celebration of product design from the past 13 years. Organized by Douglas Burton, co-owner of the Apartment Zero furniture store, the show is the centerpiece of a design-themed festival that includes, in addition to the exhibition and accompanying retail shop, a series of lectures, panel discussions, films and other public programs.
Coming this week: “Who’s Hot, Who’s Not: The Role of Women in Today’s Male-Dominated Industrial Design Field.” The free panel discussion is Saturday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Artisphere’s Dome Theatre.
