‘The Ripple Effect’ at the Art Museum of the Americas
Politicians aren’t the only ones talking about the environment, social justice and immigration. These issues — and others — are the focus of a new group art exhibition focusing on some of the hot-button issues of the day.
Co-sponsored by the Washington Project for the Arts and the Art Museum of the Americas, “The Ripple Effect: Currents of Socially Engaged Art” opens Thursday at the AMA. with a reception from
6 to 8 p.m. If you can’t make it, on Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. there will be a panel discussion with the artists and curator Raquel de Anda.
