A Springfield, Va. native, James Wagner grew up across the world, from Venezuela to Belgium to the Philippines, thanks to his father’s work. He is a 2008 graduate of the University of Virginia, and has since worked at the Los Angeles Times, San Gabriel Valley (Calif.) Tribune and Washington Post. Wagner joined the Post in August 2010 and covers high school sports such as football, basketball, soccer and volleyball across the region.
