We have an immediate opening for a Full Time Head Teller position at our Department of Energy, Washington, DC office location.
The incumbent oversees the daily operations of the teller line at an average size, full service branch, including the supervision of training and advising tellers in the handling of member needs, making exceptions to policy and balancing the daily work.
Oversees daily operations of the teller line, ensuring quality member service.
Performs the duties of a Teller III.
Assists tellers with counseling members regarding all types of loan and share products, policies and procedures and resolving complex member questions and transaction, making exceptions to policy when necessary or referring the member to the Branch Manager.
Responsible for on the job training of new teller line employees.
Provides ongoing guidance and training to the tellers in products and services, reinforcing their knowledge on cross sales.
Responsible for the teller line cross sale referral program; works will tellers to ensure the teller line meets or exceeds cross sale referral goals.
Responsible for the daily balancing of each teller and the branch.
Provides input to the Branch Manager in areas of staff development and informs manager of potential employee problems.
Ensures the adequacy and security of the branch currency and coin supply for the branch and ATM machines.
Compiles and maintains branch production reports and daily summary sheets on a regular basis.
Balances, verifies, audits and records all negotiables for the branch.
Balances, verifies and audits all teller drawers and ATM machines
Assists the Manager, Teller Operations in reviewing, revising and updating Policies and Procedures.
Coordinates and conducts monthly teller meetings.
Acts as Assistant Treasurer within delegated authority.
Serves as a Loan Officer on an as-needed basis, maintaining lending authority as applicable.
Informs the IT Hotline of problems with the automated system and follows through until the problem is resolved.
Orders branch negotiables.
Associates degree or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions.
Three years related experience including one-year teller experience, preferably with PFCU, required.
Strong oral and written communication skills, required
Working knowledge of automated teller machines required.
PFCU Loan Officer Training, desired.
Member Service Representative experience, desired.
Supervisory experience, preferred.
