We are seeking volunteers who are passionate about our mission and are committed to helping us fulfill our vision. The organization has several opportunities for individuals willing to volunteer their time in the best interest of A LEGACY Left Behind, Inc.
Blog Writer: Writes and edits blogs in which the targeting audience will be pre-teens and teenage girls. The monthly blogs will cover topics as child grief awareness, faith, health, education, self-awareness, social issues, personal life lessons, and inspitaional stories about women who lives can impact and empower young girls.
Creative Arts Therapist: Plans and directs our grief support program using art, dance, and narrative therapies to teach participants how to cope with loss and enhance personal growth.
Event Planner: Assist with coordinating our two major events of the year (Young Women Empowerment Conference and Toast To Life) along with our annual fundraisers.
Grant Writer: Assist with researching grants that will allow our organization to provide free services to our participants and completing the grant applications by the deadline.
Graphic Designer: Designs and assist with the production of the newsletter, promotional materials, and personalized stationary for the organization.
Mentor: Each mentor is assigned a mentee and is expected to maintian an open line of communication with the participant and her parents outside of group settingsand assit the organization in implementing the most effective approach to meet the needs of each participant. Those serving in this capacity are expected to attend and plan monthly activities with our participants.
Newsletter Writer: Writes articles for the our newsletter to highlight our annual activities, programs, and special events. The articles will also spotlight the accomplishments of the organization as well as our participants. Those serving in this capacity are welcome to assist with the concept, design, and production of the newsletter.
Photographer: Takes pictures at the monthly group sessions, fundraisers, empowerment conference, and the toast to life celebration. Those serving in this capacity will also assist with the production of the newsletter and the design layout of the visual images on the website.
