|Job Duties & Responsibilities|
|GEICO Federal Credit Union is seeking a Systems & Operations Manager of Information Technology with a minimum of five years experience in managing a banking/credit union IT department. Leads and manages the Information Technology Department and responsible for organizing, planning, overseeing, and coordinating all aspects of information technology for the Credit Union. Develops, applies and evaluates policies and procedures for the department and maintains updated data processing manuals and documentation. Responsible for installing, upgrading and maintaining all computer hardware and software. Assumes responsibility for development and implementation of effective IT planning and strategies and oversees planning, documentation and implementation of a comprehensive disaster recovery business strategy. Maintains a high level of current knowledge of all information technology developments and innovations in the area of systems and information security, hardware, software, telecommunications equipment, data and voice communications and emerging trends, techniques and applications. We are looking for dynamic, self-motivated, customer focused individual to join the Credit Union team to deliver a top-rated banking experience for our members.|
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience with financial system operations, as well as with accounting, managing technical staff, and online banking is preferred.
Experience with core financial solutions is a plus.
Must be familiar with and able to use general office equipment and Microsoft software applications.
Five plus years of financial institution management experience in information services and operations.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Individual must be an organized, motivated, self-starter who can work in a hands-on, member service oriented, fast-paced environment.
