Our current search is for a Sr. Java Developer for a project in Montgomery County, Maryland.
The Grant Management Information System (GMIS) is intended to fully automate the Federal Financial Assistance process for our client's personnel and it's recipients.The Intranet system is a web-based, browser independent system that can be launched from any desktop that is behind the firewall. All operating units will use the GMIS as the means of reviewing, selecting, awarding and administering all grants and cooperative agreements. Some programs will have automated interfaces that will interact with the GMIS.
Our ideal candidate will be able to design, develop, test and implement Java code to support the Grants Management Information System. As a Lead Developer the person in this role will also be tasked with a system cleanup effort to promote increased efficiency. In addition he/she will be tasked with implementing change requirements to modify some database columns add tables and to adjust Java programs to add the functionality required to manage the new data elements.
Possess technical competency to work on all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities
Under general supervision, develops designs, develops code, tests, debugs, and documents new software or enhancements to existing software
Create high-level and detail-level software design documentation and level of effort for functional requirements provided by the Government
Develop and/or modify the necessary software/programs to fulfill the functional requirements
Perform initial testing of the newly developed code
Work with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them. May assist in development of software user manuals
5 Years of overall information technology professional experience as an analysis or programmer or business/process analyst
Candidates should have experience with the following:
Oracle J Developer Studio
Oracle Application Server
Oracle Database 10g
Oracle Application 11g
C/C++ (for Loadrunner)
