VISTA Business Manager
The George Mason University, College of Education and Human Development seeks a Business Manager to oversee all fiscal and office support activities for the last year of a large, five-year federal grant (known as VISTA) awarded to the Center for Restructuring Education in Science and Technology (CREST).
Responsibilities: The Business Manager will work closely with faculty and project staff, both at Mason and at VISTAâ€™s partner universities, on a wide-range of grant-related requirements (e.g., preparing and tracking invoices, purchasing, budget reporting, and personnel and position management) and will apply knowledge of programs, operations, and administrative policies to enhance the management of the office.
Qualifications: Applicants must have extensive knowledge and experience in key areas associated with fiscal and administrative grant support including budget management, personnel compensation, procurement, travel, and post award processes and procedures including the Ellucian Banner system. Other requirements include skill with business software, excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility and adaptability in practices and procedures, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
