CSC is seeking to hire a Technology Strategist in the Washington, DC area. If you enjoy defining strategic direction and transforming it into reality to make an impact this could be the job for you!
The Technology Strategist is a high profile, customer-facing role that is the primary technical face and orchestration point for this Federal customer. Experiences in leading-edge cloud solutions, XaaS and XXX in both commercial and federal is ideal. 
 
The Technology Strategist works closely with the Program Manager and in concert with our offerings to help define and execute the account strategy.  You will be responsible for helping to develop and progress the account technology vision and strategy to support the overall business objectives for CSC and the customer - and ensuring that vision is delivered. You will work across the team to drive technical resources in communicating the value of CSC solutions and partners with a broad range of people across multiple divisions as well as drive relationships with technical leaders from senior executives and down. The role includes coordinating and integration with the account team on all technology related matters.
             
  • Candidates should have a strong, proven IT background and demonstrate familiarity with the broad range of IT products and solutions.
  • A strong leader is required to ensure CSC deploys its best resources, well-briefed, in front of the customer. WIN new business (revenue) Develop a plan to pull through demand for new solutions.
  • Work with Business and IT decision-makers to understand the customers business, IT imperatives, and initiatives Key Success Criteria, broad technical knowledge with deep experience - Ability to think strategically, then organize people and ideas to execute with Passion for understanding of the customers key business drivers, technology infrastructure & technical strategy -
  • Self-starter that transitions easily from working at home to leading large meetings -
  • Boundless optimism, enthusiasm and passion for overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Experience. Essential Experience -
    • Proven technical and leadership experience in the IT industry -
    • Excellent business acumen - ideally pre-sales experience or consultative selling -
    •  Proven ability to develop a vision, strategic plan and execute successfully in a complex customer organization -
    •  Ability to manage executive meetings across time zones to achieve objectives.
    • Technical /Functional Skills - Broad knowledge of large global enterprise IT architecture, engineering and operations.


Qualifications




Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, information technology or related field preferred
  • Twelve or more years of business solutions experience
  • Experience working with company products and services, business processes and re-engineering
  • Experience working with business environment, business industry and competitor products and services
  • Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems, product-line hardware and software
  • Experience working with office productivity tools; delivery assurance and/or industry standards on deliverables
  • Experience working in a global organization of size, scope and complexity
  • Experience working with administrative and/or workflow systems

Other Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel and management
  • Strong skills at managing risks during product launches
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong creative thinking, problem solving, planning, time-management and organization skills to balance and prioritize work

  • Strong ability to manage multiple programs, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and switch between assignments quickly
  • Strong ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks
  • Strong ability to lead and work in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel
