What a difference a week makes.  On Friday morning when I went to photograph the cherry blossoms, the snow was gone but ice remained on the Tidal Basin.

Until this week, the Potomac remained covered in snow and ice. From a weather perspective it is historic to have ice on the rive so late in the season.
