For the past 11 years, Judeo-Spanish speakers from the Washington area have met on Sundays 12 times a year to keep the ancient Jewish culture alive via conversation and a lot of food.
Fortuna Scheige, Matilda Revah, Ben Varon and Flory Jagoda gather to share a meal of traditional Sephardic food from their heritage of Eastern Europe, Turkey and Israel, followed by singing and story telling at the home of Shoshana and Dave Segal in Potomac.
