Valentine’s Day means roses and romance, so why not rosé bubbly? Here are my picks of the week, including two champagnes, a California cousin and a sweet Greek charmer, to set the holiday mood.

Nathalie Falmet Tentation Rosée

★ ★ 1/ 2

Champagne, France, $75

I raved about this champagne grower’s brut nature cuvée in December. The rosé is softer and fruitier, though quite dry. The frosted bottle adds a whiff of mystery. Alcohol by volume: 12 percent.

Charles de Cazanove Brut Rosé

Raspberries, strawberries, currants — any sort of red fruit you can think of seems to flow from the glass. ABV: 12 percent.

Roederer Estate Brut Rosé

★ ★

California, $30

The Louis Roederer champagne house established Roederer Estate in Mendocino County’s Anderson Valley in the early 1980s, and it has helped set a high standard for California sparkling wine ever since. The brut rosé has a lovely perfume of strawberry and melon, and it follows through with a laser beam of fruit. ABV: 12 percent.

RNDC: Available in the District at Calvert Woodley, Circle Wine & Liquor, Continental Wine & Liquor, Lion’s Fine Wine & Spirits, MacArthur Beverages, Pearson’s, Potomac Wine & Spirits, Rodman’s, Towne Wine & Liquors; on the list at Charlie Palmer Steak, Del Frisco’s, Graffiato, Firefly, Ici Urban Bistro, Rogue 24. Available in Virginia at Curious Grape in Arlington, Galloping Grape in Warrenton, Planet Wine & Gourmet in Alexandria, Total Wine & More (various locations), Vienna Vintner, WineStyles in Dumfries; on the list at Liberty Tavern in Arlington, Lightfoot Restaurant in Leesburg.

Kir-Yianni Akakies Sparkling Rosé

1 / 2

Naoussa, Greece, $15

This fun sparkler is made from agiorgitiko, a native Greek grape. It should appeal to anyone who favors sweeter wines, and its strawberry and raspberry jam flavors will pair well with fruit-based desserts. ABV: 12 percent.

Dionysus: Available in the District at Virginia Market; on the list at Catch 15, Doi Moi, Kapnos, Zaytinya. Available in Maryland at Capital Beer & Wine in Bethesda, Rodman’s (White Flint); on the list at Parkway Deli in Silver Spring.
