THE CHALLENGE
A fireplace is a focal point in any room, so it’s important to make it shine, especially during the holidays.
THE SOLUTION
With a few simple accessories and a new wall color, designer Camille Saum comes up with an easy way to create a warm, elegant look that will last well beyond the Christmas season.
An area rug with a curvy Moroccan tile pattern adds softness and balance to all the angles in the room.
Use inexpensive seasonal greens to dress the mantel. Votive candles add a flattering light.
Try a festive theme, such as reindeer, and repeat it in different sizes and finishes to make a statement.
Colorful and glittery ribbon through the Christmas tree is an unexpected and elegant touch.
Hang a wall medallion over the mantel for another layer of interest; keep it there all year long.
