Where to place a bird feeder

Tip of the week

Bird feeders should be positioned close enough to trees and shrubbery to provide cover from hawks, but not so close that squirrels can reach the feeders. Also, avoid placing feeders near low-growing evergreens or ground covers where cats can hide and pounce on ground-feeding birds.
