A Kalorama co-op, a Capitol Hill studio, a Penn Quarter condo, a Dupont Circle condo and a Chevy Chase bungalow show how to fit clever design in minimal square footage.
Kalorama co-op Michael and Kiera Kushlan designed their 750-square-foot Kalorama co-op to be stylish, comfortable, personal and not overstuffed with possessions. Kushlan is an interior designer and a partner in the local firm Residents Understood. Here they are with their dog, Copeland. Bill O'Leary/The Washington Post Buy Photo
