Gardening tip: To keep tomato vines upright, remove suckers

Continue to remove the suckers in the leaf joints of tomato plants to keep vines upright and from sprawling. Young suckers can be pinched with the fingers, but use a sharp knife to remove suckers thicker than a pencil to avoid damage. Also remove lower leaves yellowed by blight disease.
