So if you’re Miranda Cosgrove, the star of the hugely popular Nickelodeon show “iCarly,” there’s probably nothing that makes you nervous, right?
Except maybe acting with the first lady of the United States.
(LISA ROSE/NICKELODEON) - ”iCarly” star Miranda Cosgrove, second from left, was nervous around guest Michelle Obama.
So if you’re Miranda Cosgrove, the star of the hugely popular Nickelodeon show “iCarly,” there’s probably nothing that makes you nervous, right?
Except maybe acting with the first lady of the United States.
Michelle Obama taped a segment of the show in which Cosgrove’s character, Carly Shay, is upset when the return of her Air Force colonel father is delayed because he gets deployed again.
“Having the first lady on the set, I was really nervous,” said Cosgrove, who is 18. But it turns out that the first lady is “a nice, pretty normal person” who even danced with the cast during a segment called “Random Dancing.”
Mrs. Obama agreed to do the show because one of her interests as first lady is making sure that military families know that their sacrifices are appreciated.
Cosgrove said the goal of the show is to “let [military] kids know how important their parents are.”
The “iCarly” episode, called “iMeet the First Lady,” airs at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
