Lincoln museum

What: Center for Education and Leadership

Where: Across the street from Ford’s Theatre, 514 10th St. NW.

Who: The center is best for kids in fourth grade and up who have some knowledge of the Civil War and Abraham Lincoln.

Visiting the museum: You need a ticket to get into the museum. Tickets allow you to enter Ford’s Theatre and its museum and then cross the street to enter the Petersen House, where Lincoln died, and the new center.

Getting tickets: Tickets can be purchased in advance for $2.50. Some free tickets are available at the box office starting at 8:30 a.m. But these go quickly during busy times.

Hours: Ford’s Theatre, the Petersen House and the new Center for Education and Leadership open at 9. The last entry to the Petersen House and the new center is at 5:30 p.m.
