KidsPost Halloween costume contest

With October just around the corner, we bet more than a few of our readers are already thinking about Halloween and what they’d like to dress up as.

So again this year, KidsPost is calling on readers to share their best ideas for homemade Halloween costumes. They can be ones you wore in a previous year or ones you’re working on for this Halloween.

For inspiration, you can go to www.kidspost.
com
to see a photo gallery of some of last year’s memorable costumes.

Here’s what we need for your entry:

●●A photograph of you in your costume. (Photos that show off the uniqueness of the costume will work best.)

●●A brief description of what your costume is and why you chose to make it. Include such things as what materials you used, how long it took you to make and how much help you got from a grown-up.

●●Your name, age, home town and a phone number where we can reach you if we have questions.

●●All entries must include a note from a parent or guardian giving permission to enter the contest.

●●Deadline for entries is 5 p.m. Friday, October 5.

Send entries to kidspost@washpost.com (put “Halloween costume” in the subject field) or sent to KidsPost, The Washington Post, 1150 15th St. NW, Washington, D.C., 20071.

We’ll publish photos of the winning costumes in the Sunday, October 21, issue of KidsPost. If we publish your entry, you will receive a special Halloween-themed KidsPost prize package valued at not less than $25.
