KidsPost toy team did a seriously good job at playing with toys

Our colleagues at Newspapers in Education (NI E), which gives local schools access to The Washington Post and other resources, found eager toy testers for KidsPost at 10 NIE-participating schools. Thank you so much to the students who worked (and played) hard for this year’s test:

Second grade: Cheryl Hylton Rucker’s class at Lewisdale Elementary School in Hyattsville and students at Bristow Run Elementary School in Bristow, where gifted resource teacher Tom Gurney coordinated. Third grade: Elle M. Carabetta’s class at Randle Highlands Elementary School in Washington and students at Franconia’s Rose Hill Elementary School, where instructional coach Judith Brand coordinated. Fourth grade: Lauren Dawson’s class at Campbell Elementary School in Arlington, where librarian Beth Decker coordinated, and Mary Ellen Zavaleta’s class at Cherry Run Elementary School in Burke. Fifth grade: Students at Germantown Elementary School, where media specialist Kathleen Spiro coordinated, and Jennifer Kianka’s class at Rosa Lee Carter Elementary School in Ashburn. Sixth grade: Students at Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School in Falls Church, where gifted/talented specialist Pam Wilke coordinated, and Jenny Nachmar’s class at Our Lady of Mercy School in Potomac.
