Zoo Lights returns to National Zoo

November 25, 2013

Take a walk through the zoo in the dark and see it in a whole new light! Half a million LED lights creating the shapes of lions, tigers and bears line the zoo paths, and holiday tunes fill the air.

Take a train ride to see some of the bright sights, or tube down Lion/Tiger Hill for a gleeful ride. Defrost inside the Small Mammal House, the Great Ape House, the Reptile Discovery Center or the visitor center, where you can see model trains. Then warm up with some hot chocolate and holiday cheer!
