So Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, which means you could get dragged along with your folks to go holiday shopping . . . unless you come up with a better idea.
Why not suggest a family outing to see a special, kid-friendly musical production of “Woody Sez: The Life and Music of Woody Guthrie”?
Guthrie, who would have turned 100 this year, was an American singer and songwriter who created such classic songs as “This Land Is Your Land.”
“Woody Sez for Kidz” will be performed Friday at 11 a.m. at Theater J, 1529 16th Street NW in Washington. The 45-minute show is a shorter version of the production that runs through December 2 at Theater J.
Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for kids and is recommended for ages 3 and older. For more information, your parents can call 202-518-9400 or go to www.washingtondcjcc.org.
We guarantee that the show will be more fun than a trip to an overcrowded mall!
