Missed the first season of Lena Dunham’s gritty hit comedy? Here’s a look at where the 20-somethings stand at the start of Season 2, which airs Sunday night.
Hannah (writer/producer Lena Dunham) bounces from unpaid internship to office job — which she quits after making a cringe-worthy advance on her boss — to serving coffee, while accumulating “life experiences” for her desired career as a writer/memoirist. Her lackadaisical attitude toward rent spurs a fight with best friend and roommate Marnie, who moves out and may be replaced by Hannah’s gay ex-boyfriend. Season 1 concludes with Hannah eating discarded cake while sitting wallet-less in the sand in Coney Island, having fallen asleep on the subway after a fight with boyfriend Adam.
