New citizens join ‘We the People’
On the Constitution’s 225th anniversary, 215 people took the oath of allegiance to the United States in the rotunda of the National Archives.

Bagnato and 214 other people became U.S. citizens on Monday, which was also the 225th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution. “Life brings you unexpected things,” says Bagnato, who is originally from France and is a teacher at the French International School in Chevy Chase.
