More than 100 stores, boutiques, restaurants and art galleries will participate in the 12th Annual Dog Days of August Sidewalk Sale Aug. 6-7. Boutiques, including Redeem, Miss Pixie’s, Treasury, Zawadi and Lettie Gooch, will mark down current-season clothing and accessories as much as 60 percent. A separate highlight of the Dog Days sale is the Aug. 6 Studio Theatre Prop and Costume Sale. Hula hoops, yoga mats, antique typewriters, puppets, tables, chairs and couches used in this season’s theater productions along with miscellaneous kitchen appliances and computers are among the items to snag. Two floors of slightly imperfect and discontinued upholstery, case goods and accessories will be discounted from 30 to 70 percent in a building around the corner from the store’s Georgetown location. Lee upholstered club chairs, originally $1,100, will be $550; a painted Gustavian dining table will be marked down from $2,800 to$1,295.
