Oscars 2013 red carpet fashion preview

An Oscars campaign trail can be loaded with appearances for nominees. There are screenings, festivals, galas for various guilds and the nominees luncheon. Add in the Golden Globes and SAG Awards, and it can feel like a marathon of red carpets. But stars tend to vamp up their sartorial choices as the Oscars draw near. Here is a round-up of some fashion highlights leading up to Sunday’s ceremony.

Jennifer Lawrence

The start of awards season was dominated by actresses in red, including the “Silver Linings” star. The face of the Miss Dior campaign chose a couture ball gown by the design house with a metallic belt for the Golden Globes.
