SAG award nominees: ‘The Help,’ ‘Modern Family,’ and more

The nominations for the 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced Dec. 14.

Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris” was a sleeper hit, receiving a nomination for its ensemble cast. Carla Bruni and Owen Wilson were among the many stars of the film.

“The Artist,” a black-and-white silent film, earned three nominations. Bérénice Bejo and Jean Dujardin were both nominated for their supporting and lead roles, respectively, and the ensemble cast earned a nomination.

“Boardwalk Empire’s" cast snagged an ensemble nomination in the TV drama category, and Steve Buscemi was also nominated for his lead role.
