Tickets are on sale for the fall District Sample Sale on Sept. 26. The shopping event features more than 20 clothing and shoe boutiques (including Tory Burch, Diane von Furstenberg and 7 For All Mankind) selling their end-of-season wares at deeply discounted prices, with some previewing their upcoming season looks with special sale prices. The evening’s agenda also includes a fashion-focused silent auction, a raffle, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, hair and makeup stations, and a Georgetown Cupcake dessert bar. Profits go to WEAVE (Washington Empowered Against Violence), which helps victims of domestic abuse. 5:30-6:30 p.m. VIP hour, general admission 6:30-9 p.m. General admission tickets $40, VIP tickets $100 (includes goodie bag).
