The ABC series “Schoolhouse Rock” sneaked learning into children’s weekend TV viewing with three-minute music videos featuring catchy tunes that many adults still know by heart. The Kennedy Center will host a singalong of the show’s tunes Sunday.

"Schoolhouse Rock," whose segments aired in intervals throughout the weekend, consisted of three-minute films designed to teach mathematics, grammar, American history, government, health and nutrition, and science through original music and lively lyrics. The series premiered on ABC in 1973.
