Governors Island

A variety of food options is available on the island seven days a week. The Liggett Terrace food court is open daily, and the Kings Avenue food court is open Saturday and Sunday. Most prices are in the range of $5 to $12.

You can also pack your own sandwiches and drinks and have a picnic on tables or grass.

Ferry hours: From Lower Manhattan’s Battery Maritime Building, 10 South St., hourly between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and on the half-hour between 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on weekends. From Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6, Saturday and Sunday on the half-hour from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and every hour on the half-hour from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Round-trip fare is $2. Some weekend rides are free.
