Delta and American Airlines offer connecting flights from all three Washington area airports to Hailey and Sun Valley, Idaho, with mid-January fares starting at $505 round trip. Sun Valley Lodge and Sun Valley Inn provide complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport. Flights to Boise, 153 miles from Sun Valley, start at $259 round trip.

Cozy, low-lit dining room and wine bar with Pacific Rim-themed menu featuring lots of organic ingredients and colorful art on the walls. Entrees from $15.
Trail Creek Cabin

Built in 1937, this cabin set on a creek away from the bustle of town offers dining with a Western flair: wild game, mountain trout, steaks and ribs. Entrees from $17.

Warm, wood-heavy dining room with a broad menu — bison burger to cedar plank salmon — cooked over a mesquite fire. Entrees from about $14.
WHAT TO DO
Bald Mountain is open for skiing 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Full-day adult lift tickets $89, $62 in value season (through Dec. 16 and after April 2), $95 during Christmas week and Presidents’ Day weekend. Dollar Mountain lift tickets $49, $34 in value season and $50 during peak weeks.
Other activities include a Nordic and snowshoe center, a tubing center and sleigh rides.
