Land

Ski free — nordic or alpine — at the Woodstock Inn & Resort in southern Vermont. ● SeaDream Yacht Club is offering discounts on several 2014 cruises. For example, a last-minute seven-night Caribbean cruise from Colón, Panama, to San Juan departing Jan. 4 now starts at $2,499 per person double, a savings of $2,901. A six-night Mediterranean cruise sailing round trip from Nice, France, on May 16 now starts at $3,999 per person double, a savings of $3,401. Deal is based on availability. ● Southwest has sale fares for winter and spring travel. Flights from BWI Marshall, for example, start at $138 round trip (including taxes) to Boston; Manchester, N.H.; or Providence, R.I. Other airlines are matching in most markets. Travel Dec. 31-May 21. Blackout dates apply. Sale fares are not available for Friday or Sunday travel. For Florida destinations, depart Sunday through Wednesday, and return Tuesday through Friday. Fourteen-day advance purchase required. Book by Dec. 30 at www.southwest.com.

● World Spree Travel is discounting an escorted tour of Vietnam by $400 per person. The April 2 departure now starts at $1,699 per person double, with other dates available at slightly higher prices. The trip includes round-trip airfare from San Francisco to Hanoi, with return from Ho Chi Minh City; flight from Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City; seven nights’ lodging at luxury hotels in three cities; overnight cruise on Halong Bay; 10 meals; guide; several tours; transfers; and taxes. The eight-night package starts at $2,999 per person double and includes round-trip air from Washington to Nairobi via Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; accommodations at the Nairobi Serena Hotel, the Serena Lake Elmenteita Luxury Camp in the Soysambu Conservancy, and the Mara Serena Safari Lodge in the Masai Mara National Reserve; all transportation, game drives and park fees; most meals; and taxes.
