Travel bargains in Aruba, New York, London and Fiji

LAND

The Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort Aruba is offering 30 percent off its rates for fall and winter stays. Nightly rates now start at $166 double — or $211 with taxes — instead of the usual $239. Stay two or more nights at Manhattan’s New Yorker Hotel and receive perks worth more than $125: two passes to the Empire State Building observation deck (a $40 value), two passes to Madame Tussauds wax museum ($77), shopping coupons for Macy’s, and continental breakfast for two each morning. The Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, in northwest Florida, is offering a free night with the purchase of two. Air

American Airlines has a sale on shoulder-season flights from Washington to the Caribbean, Bermuda and Central America. Sample round-trip fares, including taxes: Reagan National to Bermuda, $327; BWI Marshall to Guatemala City, $429; Washington Dulles to Belize City, $556. Book by Sept. 5; travel Sept. 1-Dec. 15. Sea

Crystal Cruises has a sale on fall voyages to New England and Canada, with reduced rates, free air and $500-per-person on-board credits. For example, the 10-day Montreal-to-New York cruise departing Oct. 15 costs $3,940 per person double, compared with $4,695. Rate includes round-trip air from BWI Marshall or Washington Dulles to Montreal, with a return to New York (a $325 value) and $500 on-board credit, both per person. Packages

British Airways is offering two nights’ free lodging on packages to London. The Europe for Free package starts at $836 per person and includes round-trip air from BWI Marshall or Washington Dulles to London Heathrow. For a one-week trip for two people in early October, six nights at the Royal National hotel in Bloomsbury costs $637, instead of the usual $956. Total cost for two people, including taxes, is $2,309. Turtle Island, an all-inclusive luxury resort on a private island in Fiji, is offering an air credit of up to $1,000 and two free nights when you pay for five nights. With the deal, the room rate of $2,499 per night for two people drops to $1,785, a savings of nearly 30 percent. A seven-night stay, not including air, is $12,495 and includes lodging in a two-room beachfront cottage, all meals and drinks, and all activities, including sport fishing and scuba diving.
