l Several a ll-inclusive Dominican Republic properties in the Palladium Hotels & Resorts collection are offering last-minute savings of 30 percent. In May, online rates at three sister properties — Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino, Grand Palladium Bavaro Resort & Spa, and Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa — start at $182 per couple per night (with taxes), a savings of $78. Slightly higher sale rates apply to the all-adult Royal Suites Turquesa by Palladium. The four adjoining beachfront resorts are about 12 miles from the Punta Cana airport. l Wish for a cool Texas summer: Starting June 2, guests at the three Four Seasons properties in Texas pay the high temperature of the day on their second night. The Big Chill package is available at the Austin, Houston and Dallas properties. Terms vary. For example, at the Four Seasons Hotel Austin, the rate in mid-July is $349 a night. If the thermometer peaks at, say, 96 the following day, then the total for two nights is $512, with tax. The special also includes such perks as room service-delivered ice cream and an in-room movie. l The Bermuda Department of Tourism is offering credits on stays of at least four nights. With the Sizzling Summer promotion, receive a $400 credit on a four-night reservation, $500 for five nights and $600 for six nights. Eleven properties are participating, with rates from $299 to $460 a night. For example, in mid-June at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess, the credit brings four nights down to a starting price of about $953 double, plus about $21 daily for the resort tax and gratuities. l Oceania Cruises is offering discounts on 2012-13 cruises booked by June 30. Deal varies by itinerary. For example, the 14-night Northern Interludes cruise between London and Copenhagen departing June 18 has two-for-one pricing, bonus savings of up to $3,000 per cabin, and f ree round-trip economy air from Washington Dulles or business-class air for $1,398 round trip per person. l Pacific Delight Tours has a special promotion on a trip to China with a Yangtze River cruise on Victoria Cruises. The nine-night Journey to China starts at $1,699 per person double and includes four nights in a superior stateroom with a private balcony, departing from Yichang; all intra-China flights; deluxe hotels in Beijing and Shanghai; meals; shore excursions and entrance fees; and taxes. l Aer Lingus is offering summer sale fares from New York’s JFK Airport to destinations throughout Europe. Fares range from $1,003 to $1,111 round trip, including tax. For example, round-trip flight to Edinburgh, Scotland, is $1,003; fare on other airlines starts at $1,106 from New York and $1,369 from Washington.
