A divorced mother with two kids, Megan Hanlon moved from a large house to a 1,500-square-foot bungalow several years ago. Hanlon was drawn to the 1926 Chevy Chase bungalow because of its cozy spaces. When she bought the house, it was covered in green vinyl siding; they found the original wood underneath.
