This weekend, the NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo marks its 20th year, celebrating with dance and exercise classes, an obstacle course, cooking demonstrations, kids’ yoga and all the health screenings the event has become known for, from asthma to vision.

“Every year, we hear from people who tell us the expo saved their lives . . . that a free screening revealed something they didn’t know,” spokesman Matt Glassman said.

All events are free — even the zipline and rock climbing wall — and none require reservations. Just show up to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Saturday or Sunday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Organizers are calling it the largest free event of its kind in the country, with more than 250 exhibitors.
