HGTV’s new series ‘Showhouse Showdown’ to feature D.C. area designers
By Megan Buerger,
The Washington area will get some serious air time in a new HGTV series, “Showhouse Showdown,” which debuts next week. The show, hosted by former “Bachelor” star Bob Guiney, features a different city in each episode but stops in the Washington area twice.
The premise: Two local designers have one week to decorate matching model homes. Then, potential buyers tour the finished products and vote on a winner. In the first episode, airing Monday at 10 p.m., Alexandria designer Shazalynn Cavin-Winfrey and D.C. designer Eric Kole tackle homes in Loudoun County’s Stone Ridge community. Then, on Oct. 31, D.C. designers Patrick Baglino and Darlene Molnar take on apartments at National Harbor.
“Showhouse Showdown” will air Mondays at 9 p.m.
