During her 13 years as a sportswriter for The Washington Post, Liz Clarke has covered the Washington Redskins, five Olympic Games, two World Cups and written extensively about college sports, tennis and auto racing. She currently covers Maryland basketball and tennis, as well as writes occasional sports features.
Before joining the Post in 1998, she worked as a sportswriter at USA Today, The Dallas Morning News and the Charlotte Observer. She has twice been honored as Motorsports Writer of the Year. And she is the author of the book, “One Helluva Ride: How NASCAR Swept the Nation.”
