Dozens of volunteers, veterinarians and technicians spent a recent Sunday vaccinating and sterilizing cats during a “Trap-Neuter-Return” (TNR) clinic sponsored by the Washington Humane Society’s CatNiPP program. The cats are trapped, treated and then released where they were found. Supporters say it is more humane than sending feral cats to shelters, where most are euthanized.
