Fort Lincoln Dr., 3100 block, 11:05 p.m. Dec. 17. Anthony Garland Rice, 58, of Northwest Washington, was found on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

ROBBERIES

Benning Rd., 4100 block, 5:16 a.m. Dec. 16. A man approached a pedestrian from behind, then knocked her to the ground and grabbed her purse. After a brief struggle, he fled empty-handed. No serious injuries were reported.

Bladensburg Rd., 900 block, 6:10 p.m. Dec. 15. A man snatched cash from a male pedestrian’s hand.

Bladensburg Rd., 2200 block, 3:05 p.m. Dec. 18. Three people entered a restaurant through a back door and robbed patrons and employees at gunpoint, then fled in a silver SUV.

Blaine St. and Minnesota Ave., 11:34 p.m. Dec. 14. Two men forced a motorist from a vehicle at gunpoint, then drove away in the vehicle. A short time later, the vehicle was abandoned in the 200 block of 35th Street SE, where it had been involved in an accident resulting in significant damage.

Clay Pl., 3900 block, 9:11 p.m. Dec. 17. Three males wearing ski masks robbed a pedestrian of property from his pockets at gunpoint.

Eastern Ave., 5800 block, 9:10 p.m. Dec. 18. Two male teenagers robbed a pedestrian of her purse and a cellphone at gunpoint.

Galloway St., 1000 block, 7:40 p.m. Dec. 13. Two males robbed a pedestrian of his iPhone, a bookbag and a transit pass at knifepoint.

H St., 700 block, 7:26 p.m. Dec. 18. A man threatened a man leaving a liquor store and robbed him of merchandise he had just purchased. A short time later the man was arrested when he tried to exchange the stolen property at a nearby store.

Hawaii Ave., 300 block, 6:27 p.m. Dec. 14. A group of four males threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of property.

Kenilworth Ave., 800 block, 12:30 a.m. Dec. 16. A man made threats at an acquaintance’s residence, then fled with property.

Kenilworth Ave., 1500 block, 11 p.m. Dec. 15. A man approached a motorist at a gas pump, then robbed him of a vehicle at gunpoint. Damaged by fire, the vehicle was recovered that same day in Prince George's County.

Massachusetts Ave. and North Capitol St., 1:33 p.m. Dec. 14. A group of four males threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a backpack.

Massachusetts Ave., unit block, 6:52 p.m. Dec. 16. Three men threatened a man a bus stop and demanded property. After a struggle, they fled with his shoulder bag. The victim followed them and called police. Three arrests were made a short time later.

Ponds St., 4400 block, 6:11 p.m. Dec. 17. Two men robbed a pedestrian in an alley of property from his pockets at gunpoint.

West Virginia Ave., 1700 block, 1 p.m. Dec. 15. Three males robbed an acquaintance of property at gunpoint.

12th St., 300 block, 11:27 p.m. Dec. 15. A man in an alley robbed two pedestrian at gunpoint.

45th St., 1100 block, 8 p.m. Dec. 18. Two men robbed a pedestrian of property from his pockets at gunpoint.

46th and Blaine streets, 11:44 p.m. Dec. 15. A male riding a mountain bike robbed a male pedestrian at gunpoint.

49th Pl., 700 block, 12:08 p.m. Dec. 13. Two people robbed two pedestrians of cellphones and cash at gunpoint. Two arrests were made a short time later.

50th St., 300 block, 4:27 p.m. Dec. 14. A male robbed a pedestrian of her cellphone at gunpoint.

59th and Dix streets, 9:20 p.m. Dec. 17. Three males got out of a vehicle that had stopped near a pedestrian. They then threatened and robbed her of a purse.

Jay St., 5000 block, 6 p.m. Dec. 15. Property was stolen from a location at which significant damage occurred. There was no sign of forced entry.

Lee St., 5100 block, 1:42 p.m. Dec. 18. Property was stolen from a residence entered by forcing the front door.

Mount Olivet Rd., 1300 block, 11:16 a.m. Dec. 17. Copper wiring and copper piping were stolen from a vacant building entered by forcing a window.

Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave., 5600 block, 3 a.m. Dec. 18. Two people were robbed after being confronted near a vehicle, and then forced inside their nearby residence at gunpoint.

R St., 100 block, 12:43 p.m. Dec. 13. Property was stolen from a storage unit entered by breaking a lock.

Barry Pl., 900 block, 3:15 a.m. Dec. 14. A male got out of a vehicle that had stopped near a pedestrian, then robbed her of a purse at gunpoint.

Center St. and Oak St., 4 p.m. Dec. 17. A male teenager snatched property from a pedestrian’s hand.

Connecticut Ave., 1300 block, 4:02 a.m. Dec. 15. A group of people threatened a pedestrian and fled with his coat. Three of the assailants were arrested as they tried to flee the area in a vehicle.

Connecticut Ave., 4200 block, 9:52 a.m. Dec. 14. A female who implied that she had a weapon robbed a store of cash..

Florida Ave., 300 block, 8:53 a.m. Dec. 16. A man robbed a male pedestrian at knifepoint. A short time later, a 19-year-old man was arrested in the 1900 block of Eighth Street NW.

Florida Ave., 900 block, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18. A group of male teenagers threatened and robbed a pedestrian.

Illinois Ave., 5500 block, 4:55 p.m. Dec. 16. Two people robbed a pedestrian of a cellphone and property from his pockets at knifepoint. The victim said that he had just observed the two as they were trying to break into a building.

Irving St., 700 block, 2:30 a.m. A male teenager got out of a minivan that had stopped near a pedestrian, then robbed her at knifepoint.

Third St., 4700 block, 5:50 a.m. Dec. 13. A man on a bicycle snatched a purse from a pedestrian.

Third St., 5500 block, 10:28 p.m. Dec. 18. Two men armed with guns entered a restaurant through a rear door, then fled with cash.

Seventh St., 1800 block, 11:28 p.m. Dec. 14. A group of males attacked and robbed two people near a Metro station. Both victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of injuries.

Eighth St., 3800 block, 6:28 p.m. Dec. 17. A group of men wearing masks forced their way into a residence and robbed occupants at gunpoint. The intruders fled in a black SUV.

Ninth St., 1500 block, 6 p.m. to 6:04 p.m. Dec. 17. A man approached a pedestrian from behind and tried to force her into an alley. When she resisted, he grabbed her purse and fled. The victim said that she recognized the assailant as an acquaintance.

Ninth St., 1900 block, 7 a.m. Dec. 16. A female sitting in a large crowd near a market was robbed of a cellphone that had been been in her lap.
