Benning Rd., 3400 block, 11:38 p.m. Dec. 28. A male forced a motorist from her vehicle at gunpoint, then grabbed her purse and drove away in the vehicle.

Benning Rd., 3400 block, 10:59 p.m. Dec. 28. A male ordered a motorist from his vehicle at gunpoint. The victim refused and drove away. No injuries were reported.

Bladensburg Rd., 800 block, 7:50 a.m. Dec. 29. Two men robbed a motorist pumping gas of property from his pockets at gunpoint.

Galloway St., 300 block, 6:25 p.m. Jan. 1. Two males approached a pedestrian from behind, then pushed her to the ground and fled with property.

James Pl., 5300 block, 5 p.m. Dec. 27. A male teenager got out of a Dodge Caravan that had pulled to a stop and threatened a female unloading property from a vehicle. After a brief struggle, the male stole a key fob from the victim and got back in the van, which sped away.

Meigs Pl., 1200 block, 4:20 a.m. Dec. 30. Four males robbed two pedestrians of property at gunpoint.

Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave., 4200 block, 9:12 p.m. Jan. 1. A male passed a threatening note to a cashier at a restaurant, then fled empty-handed when the employee failed to quickly comply.

Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave., 5000 block, 11:19 a.m. Dec. 28. A person snatched a purse from a female pedestrian.

New York Ave., unit block, 3:36 a.m. Dec. 30. A group of males threatened and robbed two males standing outside a fast-food restaurant.

New York Ave., 1600 block, 12:10 a.m. Dec. 29. Two males forced their way into a motel room, then threatened a man and robbed him of cash.

Polk St., 4600 block, 4:49 p.m. Jan. 1. A male engaged a pedestrian in conversation, then robbed him of property from his pockets at gunpoint.

First St., 1200 block, 2:30 a.m. Dec. 29. Three men robbed a man leaving a nightclub of a cellphone and other property at gunpoint.

Third St., 1100 block, 12:50 p.m. Dec. 27. A male approached a pedestrian from behind, then snatched a cellphone from his hand and fled with an accomplice.

12th and Randolph streets, 11:35 p.m. Dec. 31. Two people robbed two pedestrians of a wallet, two cellphones and other property at gunpoint.

13th and Wylie streets, 2:15 a.m. Dec. 30. Two male teenagers robbed a pedestrian of his wallet and a cellphone at gunpoint.

19th St., 800 block, 6:15 p.m. Dec. 30. Three males robbed a man in an alley at gunpoint.

21st St., 700 block, 6:44 p.m. Dec. 31. Four males attacked a pedestrian and robbed her of cash from her pockets. The victim refused treatment for injuries sustained during the incident.

Kenilworth Ave., 1600 block, 12:21 a.m. Dec. 28. Property was stolen from a convenience store entered by breaking through a brick wall and then interior drywall.

Kenilworth Ave., 1600 block, 9:32 a.m. Jan. 1. A convenience store was entered by breaking through a brick wall with a sledgehammer. Four arrests were made at the scene.

Okie St., 1100 block, 1 to 3:42 p.m. Dec. 28. Property was stolen from a place of worship entered by forcing a front door.

Perry St., 1000 block, 1 p.m. Dec. 25 to 1:57 a.m. Dec. 31. Five TVs and three video game systems were stolen from a residence entered by kicking in a basement door.

Second St., 900 block, 12:29 a.m. Dec. 28. Property was stolen from a commercial location. A short time later, three people were arrested nearby.

Connecticut Ave., 1300 block, 9:58 a.m. Dec. 28. A man threatened a bank employee and fled with cash. A short time later, the man was arrested as he sat on a bench at a nearby Metro station.

Decatur St., 500 block, 10:51 p.m. Dec. 29. Three men threatened two pedestrians and robbed them of a wallet and a phone.

Eastern Ave., 7400 block, 2:25 a.m. Jan. 1. A male approached a pedestrian from behind, then robbed her of a purse at gunpoint.

Emerson St., 900 block, 9:38 p.m. Dec. 27. A man approached a person sitting in a vehicle and demanded cash from him. He then snatched a wallet from the motorist’s hand.

Emerson St. and Piney Branch Rd., 1:50 a.m. Dec. 29. Three males wearing ski masks forced two people from a vehicle at gunpoint, then drove away in the vehicle.

Florida Ave., 500 block, 4:01 a.m. Dec. 30. A man grabbed a pedestrian from behind, then demanded cash. As the victim was resisting, he saw four other males approach. He then threw his wallet on the ground and ran away.

H St., unit block, 6:21 p.m. A man snatched a cellphone from a female pedestrian’s hand.

Irving St., 14000 block, 12:30 p.m. Dec. 29. A person snatched a pedestrian’s cellphone.

Keefer Pl., 600 block, 12:13 a.m. Dec. 29. A male armed with a weapon robbed a pedestrian.

Kennedy St., 1400 block, 1:30 p.m. Dec. 30. A man in an alley robbed a pedestrian at gunpoint, then fled with an accomplice.

Kenyon St., 500 block, 5:42 p.m. Dec. 29. Two men forced a pedestrian into an alley at gunpoint, then robbed him of cash and a cellphone.

Lamont St., 1200 block, 12:10 a.m. Dec. 31. A man threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a coat and a cellphone.

Longfellow St., 800 block, 11:10 a.m. Dec. 31. Two men threatened a pedestrian, then fled with the victim’s cellphone.

Mitch Snyder Pl., 400 block, 10:08 p.m. Dec. 30. During an argument, a man snatched a cellphone from a female acquaintance’s hand.

Newton St., 1500 block, 11:30 p.m. Dec. 26. A man robbed a female standing outside her residence of a wallet and a cellphone at knifepoint. Based on the victim’s description, an arrest was made a short time later in the 1300 block of Park Road NW.

Ontario Rd., 2200 block, 3:38 a.m. Jan. 1. Two men pushed a pedestrian against a fence, then robbed him of property. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

P St., 300 block, 7:14 p.m. Dec. 28. Two men robbed a convenience store at gunpoint, then fled in a black Cadillac Fleetwood.

P St., 500 block, 4:44 a.m. Dec. 31. A man got out of a vehicle that had pulled to a stop, then robbed a pedestrian of her purse at gunpoint.

Park Rd., 1800 block, 7:38 p.m. Dec. 29. A man entered an apartment through an unlocked back door, then robbed an occupant of property at knifepoint.

Somerset Pl., 500 block, 9:52 p.m. Dec. 27. A man approached a woman standing on a porch at a residence and robbed her of a cellphone at gunpoint.

U St., unit block, 7:47 p.m. Dec. 29. Two men wearing masks robbed a pedestrian of cash and a watch at gunpoint.

First Terr., 1100 block., 5:20 a.m. Jan. 1. Three males robbed a pedestrian of his wallet at gunpoint.

Fifth St., 6300 block, 7:52 p.m. Jan. 1. A man approached two people in a hot tub outside a residence and forced them inside at gunpoint. He then robbed them of cash and property.

Seventh St., 1900 block, 7:40 p.m. Dec. 31. A man threatened a person who had just withdrawn cash from an ATM in the lobby of a building, then blocked the exit door. The victim threw the money to the ground, then fled when the man reached down to pick it up.

11th St., 1200 block, 1:15 a.m. Dec. 30 A female followed a male off an elevator, then snatched his wallet and fled through the front door of the building.

14th St., 3600 block, 2:17 a.m. Dec. 28. A man approached a pedestrian and demanded cash at knifepoint. The pedestrian pushed him aside and ran away but was caught from behind, knocked to the ground and robbed of a backpack. No serious injuries were reported.

15th and Harvard streets, 11:33 a.m. Dec. 27. A male teenager snatched an iPhone from a female pedestrian’s hand.

Quebec St., 3500 block, 11:12 p.m. Dec. 27. Property was stolen from an occupied residence entered by kicking in a back door. An intruder fled when confronted.

Rhode Island Ave., 100 block, 11:31 p.m. Dec. 29. Property was stolen from a restaurant entered by breaking a side window.

HOMICIDES

Ayers Pl., 5000 block, 7:47 p.m. Dec. 29. Darnell Rivers, 22, of Southeast Washington, was found suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle that had just crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Croffut Pl., 3400 block, 12:08 p.m. Dec. 30. Angelo Alphonso Payne, 23, of Southeast Washington, was found on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Alabama Ave., 1200 block, 8:27 p.m. Dec. 30. Two people threatened a pedestrian near a bus stop, then fled with the victim’s bag.

B St. and Bass Pl., 12:16 a.m. Dec. 28. Two gunmen wearing ski masks robbed a male pedestrian who had just withdrawn cash from an ATM.

Bruce Pl., 2700 block, 11 p.m. Dec. 29. A male robbed a pedestrian at a bus stop of her jacket at gunpoint.

C St. and Minnesota Ave., 10:53 p.m. Dec. 27. A man robbed a pedestrian of his wallet and a cellphone at gunpoint.

K St., 1300 block, 12:28 a.m. Dec. 30. A man robbed a pedestrian of cash from her wallet at gunpoint.

Livingston Rd., 4600 block, 3:34 a.m. Dec. 29. Two men followed a man from a bus stop to his apartment building, then robbed him of a jacket and property from his pockets at gunpoint.

Minnesota Ave., 2200 block, 6:40 p.m. Dec. 29. Three males robbed a convenience store at gunpoint.

Mississippi Ave., unit block, 3:26 p.m. Dec. 29. A male approached a pedestrian from behind, then threatened her and robbed her of cash.

Savannah St., 1000 block, 11:05 a.m. Dec. 27. A man threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet and a cellphone.

Southern Ave., 3400 block, 9:10 p.m. Dec. 27. Two males robbed two pedestrians of a purse and a cellphone at gunpoint.

Wahler Pl., 900 block, 7:51 p.m. Dec. 30. Five males forced their way into an apartment at gunpoint, then robbed two occupants of cash, cigarettes and other property.

Yuma St., 600 block, 9:15 p.m. Dec. 27. Three males attacked a pedestrian from behind and knocked her to the ground, then robbed her of a cellphone and shoes. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

19th St. and Minnesota Ave., 2:20 p.m. Dec. 29. A male threatened a person at a bus stop and robbed her of a purse. An arrest was made a short time later.

37th Pl., 200 block, 12:18 a.m. Jan. 1. Two men robbed two pedestrians at gunpoint. One of the victims was taken to a hospital for treatment of an injury sustained when she was struck in the face during the incident.

53rd St., 5300 block, Dec. 27. A female threatened a woman and demanded her car keys, then pushed her aside and fled in the victim’s vehicle with two accomplices.

Condon Terr., 400 block, 11 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 28. Property was stolen from an apartment entered by forcing the front door.

D St., 5300 block, 11:50 p.m. Dec. 31. An occupied apartment was entered by kicking in the front door. After confronting an acquaintance, the intruder fled. A short time later, a man was arrested on burglary and other charges.
