Frederick Rd. and Redland Blvd., 9 p.m. Dec. 14. A man armed with a weapon robbed a pedestrian.

Rockville Pike, 200 block, 9 p.m. Dec. 16. A man armed with a weapon demanded property from a person near a Metro station, then fled empty-handed.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bentcross Dr., 9800 block, 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Dec. 15. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

Buena Vista Dr., Grinnell Dr., Indianola Dr. and Oskaloosa Dr., Dec. 15 to 16. Global Positioning System units, cellphones and coins were stolen from nine unlocked vehicles in the Derwood area.

Battery Lane, 4900 block, Dec. 12 to 14. Vehicle parts were stolen from a vehicle. An unsuccessful attempt was made to steal a part from a vehicle parked nearby.

Castle Blvd., 13900 block, 9:21 p.m. Dec. 12. Two teenagers attacked a person. Two Silver Spring males, ages 13 and 14, were charged with aggravated assault. No serious injuries were reported.

Schuyler Rd., 100 block, 7:10 p.m. Dec. 10. A person attacked an acquaintance. No serious injuries were reported.

Fenton and Bonifant streets, 3:30 a.m. Dec. 16. A man threatened and robbed two pedestrians.

Garland Ave., 8800 block, 11:45 p.m. Dec. 10. A strong-arm robbery occurred. The victim said that the incident involved three male teenagers.

Valleybrook Dr., 200 block, 11:08 a.m. Dec. 18. A robbery occurred at a high school. An investigation is ongoing.

HOMICIDES

Bel Pre Rd., 3700 block, 2:52 a.m. Dec. 16. Responding to the report of a shooting, police found a 28-year-old Aspen Hill man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. The victim reportedly had been in an altercation with two male pedestrians. An investigation is ongoing.

Connecticut Ave., 14100 block, 4:18 p.m. Dec. 18. Responding to a report of a shooting at Northgate Park, police found a 22-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. At 10 a.m. Dec. 19, a 19-year-old Olney man, an acquaintance of the victim, was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Georgia Ave., 10800 block, 8:16 p.m. Dec. 13. A man attacked an acquaintance. A 29-year-old Capitol Heights man was charged with aggravated assault. No serious injuries were reported.

Georgia Ave., 11100 block, 1:20 a.m. Dec. 16. A woman attacked an acquaintance. A 32-year-old Silver Spring woman was charged with aggravated assault. No serious injuries were reported.

New Hampshire Ave., 13300 block, 5:20 p.m. Dec. 12. A man robbed a bank after passing a threatening note. Based on a video-surveillance investigation, a 28-year-old Silver Spring man was arrested at his home at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 14.

Norris Dr., 11300 block, 2:30 p.m. Dec. 17. Two male teenagers armed with a weapon robbed a person of property.

Town Center Dr., 18100 block, 9:45 p.m. Dec. 12. A man armed with a weapon robbed a person of property.

Valleywood Dr., 12500 block, 12:30 p.m. Dec. 10. A group of five males armed with a weapon robbed two people of property.
