ANNAPOLIS AREA

ROBBERIES

Forest Dr., 2300 block, 2:26 p.m. Dec. 31. A man threatened a spa employee, then fled with cash in a Ford Explorer driven by another man. The owner of the spa got in a vehicle and followed them, and alerted police, who stopped the Explorer in the 2500 block of Solomons Island Road. An Edgewater man, 46, and an Annapolis man, 47, were arrested on robbery and related charges. The Edgewater man also is a suspect in the robbery of a doughnut shop in the 2600 block of Riva Road during the late afternoon of Dec. 29.

BROOKLYN PARK AREA

ROBBERIES

Ballman Ave. and Hillside Terr., 11:21 p.m. Dec. 31. A group of eight juvenile males threatened a man and fled with a bag containing beer. A police officer who happened to be in the area saw the boys scatter and run through yards, and one of them dropped a bag. The man who had been robbed flagged down the officer a short time later. The stolen property was recovered.

GLEN BURNIE AREA

HOMICIDES

Furnace Branch Rd., 7300 block, 5:21 p.m. Dec. 30. Sir Keith English Queen Jones, 31, was found in the parking lot of a tavern, suffering from a gunshot wound. Jones, a former resident of the area who more recently had been living in Pennsylvania, was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later. An investigation was ongoing.

ROBBERIES

Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., 7900 block, 5:31 p.m. Dec. 28. Four male teenagers approached a male teenager behind a shopping center, then robbed him of cash at gunpoint.

Ritchie Hwy., 6600 block, 3 p.m. Dec. 30. A man demanded cash from a male pedestrian, who refused and ran to a gas station. A Glen Burnie man, 26, was arrested.

SEVERN AREA

ROBBERIES

Donaldson Ave., 500 block, 9:06 p.m. Dec. 28. Two males robbed a convenience store at gunpoint, then fled on foot.

Donaldson Ave., 500 block, 10:43 p.m. Jan. 3. Two males wearing masks robbed a convenience store at gunpoint, then fled on foot.

Barbud Lane, 1200 block, 10:30 p.m. Dec. 26 to 7:30 a.m. Dec. 27. A check was stolen from a vehicle.

Belle Dr., 1700 block, 9 a.m. Dec. 31 to 3 p.m. Jan. 1. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

Cedar Park Rd., 1400 block, 11 to 11:50 a.m. Dec. 28. A tool kit was stolen from a building under construction.

Nimitz Dr., 1700 block, Dec. 24 to 29. Cameras and camera equipment were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a back door.

Second St., 300 block, Dec. 22 to 26. Two gift cards and cash were stolen from an 18-foot boat.

Harpers Farm Rd. and Turnabout Lane, 10:50 p.m. Dec. 27. Three men robbed a pedestrian of his wallet and keys at knifepoint.

Thunder Hill Rd., 5800 block, 8:06 p.m. Dec. 31. During a meeting to discuss a transaction that had been arranged online, a male robbed a male of a cellphone at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Brook Way, 5200 block, 4:45 a.m. Jan. 3. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a patio door. The intruder fled empty-handed when confronted.

Columbia 100 Pkwy., 8800 block, 7 a.m. Dec. 28 to 7 a.m. Dec. 31. An empty storage unit was entered by force in a parking garage.

Cradlerock Way, 7000 block, Dec. 6 to Dec. 27. A video game console was stolen from an apartment. There was no sign of forced entry.

Cradlerock Way, 6800 block, 5:07 a.m. Jan. 3. An attempt was made to steal an ATM machine from a market. Several people were seen fleeing the area empty-handed.

Cross Fox Lane, 10500 block, 10 a.m. Dec. 29. Two males knocked on the front door of an occupied residence, then made an attempt to pry open the door with a tool. The intruders fled empty-handed when confronted.

Dobbin Center Way, 6400 block, 5:32 a.m. Dec. 31. Cash, vouchers and two checks were stolen from a fitness club entered by smashing a front window.

Dobbin Rd., 6600 block, 4:30 a.m. Dec. 28. A business was entered by breaking glass in a front door. An empty cash drawer was pulled out. Nothing was reported missing.

Guilford Rd., 10100 block, 11:05 a.m. Dec. 31. Cash and a laptop computer were stolen from a group home. Two men were seen fleeing with the property.

Hickory Ridge Rd., 10800 block, 4:38 a.m. Jan. 3. A cash register and an interior office door were damaged at a coffee shop entered by breaking glass near a door. Nothing was reported missing.

Mystic Ct., 5400 block, 4:45 to 7 p.m. Dec. 30. A laptop computer and a purse were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a sliding-glass door.

Tricross Dr., 5600 block, 10:32 a.m. Jan. 2. A person checking on a vacant residence owned by a family member found two people living on the premises. A 31-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, both of Columbia, were arrested on burglary charges.

Wincopin Cir., 10200 block, 2:08 a.m. Jan. 3. A cafe was entered by breaking glass near a door. An attempt was made to remove an ATM, and other property was moved around, but nothing was reported missing.

Brightstone Pl., 10200 block, 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 26. A tablet computer and headphones were stolen from a car in an open garage.

Macalpine Rd., 3600 block, 9:42 p.m. Dec. 28. A jewelry box, a cigar box and a pillowcase were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a window.

Mount Ida Dr., 3500 block, 12:38 p.m. Dec. 28. Thirteen windows were stolen from a construction site.

Oak Green Cir., 3000 block, Dec. 2 to 30. A laptop computer was among property stolen from an apartment, which sustained heavy damage while its occupant was away. An acquaintance has acknowledged loaning out a key to the residence, and neighbors said that several groups of people had spent time there.

Plumtree Dr. E., 3400 block, Dec. 28. A silver 2006 Toyota Corolla was stolen.

Town and Country Blvd., 8600 block, 11:38 p.m. Dec. 28. A white 1999 Ford Mustang was stolen. It was recovered Dec. 29. An Ellicott City man, 29, was charged with vehicle theft, resisting arrest and several traffic violations.

Walking Stick Rd., 5000 block, Dec. 28. A blue-and-black 2007 Suzuki GSXR motorcycle was stolen.

FULTON AREA

ROBBERIES

Maple Lawn Blvd., 8100 block, 2:01 a.m. Jan. 1. A group of people near a bar pulled a man from a vehicle and beat him, then stole the vehicle. A short time later, the vehicle was returned, and the man was robbed of his wallet. A Marriottsville man, 37, was arrested on charges that included assault, carjacking and theft. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of several cuts. An investigation was ongoing.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Cheshire Ct., 8600 block, 3 p.m. Dec. 27 to 5:50 p.m. Dec. 30. Two computers, a flat-screen TV, a watch and a bottle of vodka were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a kitchen window.

Dorsey Run Rd., 7900 block, 3 p.m. Dec. 28 to 8 a.m. Dec. 31. Coins, a battery charger, food products from vending machines and a hat were stolen from two buildings at a business entered by cutting chains on a gate.

Dorsey Run Rd., 7900 block, 8 a.m. Dec. 31. Wrenches and a chain saw were stolen from a car-repair shop entered by breaking a window in a bay door.

Montevideo Rd., 7400 block, 5:30 p.m. Dec. 28 to 5:30 a.m. Dec. 31. An attempt was made to steal rental equipment by cutting chains to a gate to a storage area. Nothing was reported missing.

Pine Tree Rd., 8600 block, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 25. Tools, equipment and household goods were stolen from a residence under renovation. There was no sign of forced entry.

Washington Blvd., 8100 block, 12:53 a.m. Jan. 1. Two people were seen running from a junk yard. A bag of tools was left at the scene.
