Crosswind Terr., 43100 block, Jan. 7. Sunglasses were among property stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Maidsville Ct., 21300 block, 1 to 7 a.m. Jan. 7. A jacket was stolen from a vehicle.

Marigold Mill Pl., 41800 block, 4:30 p.m. Jan. 4 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 7. Building materials were stolen from a construction site.

Rosetta Pl., 21200 block, 9:30 p.m. Jan. 6 to 7 a.m. Jan. 7. Coins were stolen from a vehicle parked in a driveway at a home.

Rosetta Pl., 21200 block, noon Jan. 6 to 7:50 a.m. Jan. 7. An MP3 player was stolen from a vehicle.

Ryder Mills Ct., 20600 block, 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. Jan. 8. An MP3 player and cash were among property were stolen from a home.

Shy Beaver Ct., 20800 block, 6 p.m. Jan. 7 to 6 a.m. Jan. 8. Cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Windy Oaks Sq., 21900 block, 6 p.m. Jan. 6 to 7:55 a.m. Jan. 7. Coins were stolen from a vehicle.

Wingfoot Ct., 21800 block, 10 p.m. Jan. 7 to 5 a.m. Jan. 8. An MP3 player was stolen from a vehicle.

VANDALISM

Crandall Sq., 43000 block, 4:52 p.m. Jan. 7. Responding to a report of someone in a Halloween mask walking near a school, police detained a 13-year-old from Ashburn. It was later determined that the teenager had spray-painted graffiti on a wall.

Market St. E., 300 block, 6:51 p.m. Jan. 8. Threats were reported.

Town Center Dr., unit block, 6:30 a.m. Jan. 6. A window was damaged at a residence.

STERLING AREA
ASSAULTS

Fillmore Ave. N., 100 block, 4:03 a.m. Jan. 6. During a dispute at a residence, a woman attacked an acquaintance, who was taken to a hospital for treatment of an injury. A Sterling woman was arrested Jan. 7 on charges that included malicious wounding, abuse and neglect of a child. Two pet dogs died from injuries during the dispute.

Rock Hill Rd. and Potomac Hill Sq., 11 p.m. Jan. 8 to 5 a.m. Jan. 9. Tools were stolen from a work vehicle entered by forcing a door.

Rock Hill Rd. and Potomac Hill Sq., 10:30 p.m. Jan. 8 to 7:30 a.m. Jan. 9. Tools were stolen from a vehicle entered by damaging a door.
