7-yr-old boy killed in July 4 parade in Annapolis

A 7-year-old boy was killed Thursday night in an accident involving a vehicle in a Fourth of July parade in Annapolis, police said.

Just after 7 p.m., city police said, the boy fell from a vehicle getting ready to participate in the parade. The vehicle was on Amos Garrett Boulevard, where a queue was forming to enter the parade route, police said in a statement.

The boy was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. No further information was released.
