A light snowfall descends on the rural community of Middletown in Frederick County.

Andrew Lawson, 10, walks across a field on his parent's family farm during a snowy afternoon in Middletown, Md. His parents, James and Liz Vickers, live on their 103-acre farm, which dates back to the late 1700s. They raise Black Angus cattle, chickens and vegetables that they sell to local restaurants.
