BROOKLYN AREA

Ritchie Hwy., 5800 block, 9:43 p.m. July 5. An attempt was made to break into a business by forcing a rear door. Three Brooklyn males, two 14-year-olds and one 16-year-old, were arrested. Charges included second- and fourth-degree burglary, resisting arrest, possession of burglar’s tools and destruction of property.

ROBBERIES

Ritchie Hwy., 5600 block, 4:53 a.m. June 30. Two men wearing masks robbed a convenience store of cash and cigarettes at gunpoint, then fled on foot. Two men meeting the same description were involved in a similar incident a short time later at a store in Baltimore, from which they fled in a white Pontiac Grand Am.

11th Ave. E., 200 block, 7:30 p.m. July 4. Three males robbed two pedestrians near an elementary school. One of the victims was stabbed during the incident and was treated at a hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

EDGEWATER AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Washington Rd., 100 block, 2 a.m. July 4. A purse was stolen from an occupied residence entered through a window that had been left open because of a power failure. A male was seen fleeing the premises with the property.

GLEN BURNIE AREA

ROBBERIES

Lincoln Ave. SW, 300 block, 10:54 p.m. July 1. Four juveniles forced their way into a residence at gunpoint, then fled after a struggle with an occupant. Three juveniles were arrested on charges of armed robbery, second-degree assault and weapons violations. No serious injuries were reported.

Oak Manor Dr., 200 block, 3:48 a.m. July 2. A man attacked a clerk in a convenience store. During a struggle, the two ended up in the parking lot, where three accomplices of the assailant were waiting in a vehicle. Two other store employees locked the doors and called police. Three Annapolis men, ages 25, 25 and 26, and a 20-year-old Pasadena man were arrested. Charges included robbery, theft valued at less than $1,000, assault, disorderly conduct and destruction of property.

Ritchie Hwy., 7300 block, 10:15 a.m. July 3. Two males wearing bandanas over their faces threatened employees and smashed a display case at a store, then fled with digital media players and other electronic merchandise. A Glen Burnie man, 26, and a Baltimore man, 25, were arrested on charges of assault, robbery and theft. No injuries were reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Solley Rd., 7900 block, 7:04 a.m. July 5. Responding to a report of a man carrying car batteries into a wooded area near an auto-parts business, police identified a suspect and located him in the 200 block of Armstrong Lane in Pasadena. A Pasadena man, 28, was charged with burglary, theft, destruction of property and possession of burglar’s tools. The stolen property was recovered.
