CROFTON AREA

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

Forksbridge Ct., 900 block, 3:30 a.m. May 2. A police officer on patrol noticed two suspicious vehicles — a white minivan and a blue Chevrolet Malibu — traveling close to each other. The driver of the minivan jumped out and ran toward an elementary school. The officer stopped the driver of the Malibu. It was determined that the minivan had been stolen from a home in Crofton that day. During a search on foot, a suspect turned himself in. A Clinton man, 25, and a Cheverly man, 29, were arrested.

GLEN BURNIE AREA

ROBBERIES

Furnace Branch Rd. W., 600 block, 9:30 p.m. May 3. A group of male teenagers kicked and punched a male pedestrian, then fled on foot with cash and property. The pedestrian was not injured.

Ritchie Hwy., 7100 block, 5:14 p.m. May 6. A man demanded cash from a restaurant employee in a bathroom, claiming he had a gun. The employee escaped. A Glen Burnie man, 20, was arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery and related offenses.

PASADENA AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bar Harbor Dr., 300 block, 2:25 a.m. May 4. A male parked in a yellow cab at a marina was found to be in possession of a backpack containing portable DVD players, GPS devices and other property stolen from vehicles after a witness reported someone looking into vehicles. Another man was located at a school with additional stolen property. A Brooklyn Park man, 29, and a Baltimore man, 33, were arrested.

LAUREL AREA

ROBBERY

Easton South, 200 block, 3:20 p.m. May 8. A man began to chat with a woman pushing a shopping cart down the street, then drew a knife and forcibly took her purse.

New Disney Rd. and Old Mill Ct., 5:41 p.m. May 3. A male pedestrian was punched in the head from behind and robbed of his digital media player by a group of males who fled toward Lake Village.

Annapolis

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Amos Garrett Blvd., 1-99 block, 2 p.m. May 1. A man entered an unlocked vehicle and took a cellphone from the center console. An Annapolis man, 19, was arrested and charged with theft. The cellphone was recovered.

Creek Dr., 600 block, 6 p.m. May 1 to 4:30 p.m. May 4. The front door of a residence was kicked open. Nothing was reported stolen.

Creek Dr. near Sixth St., 4 a.m. May 4. An unlocked vehicle was entered. Nothing was reported stolen.

Newman St. near Duke Of Gloucester St., 2 to 11 p.m. April 26. A tablet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Newtowne Dr., 700 block, 3:45 a.m. April 28. A resident heard someone try her door handle and attempt to kick open the door to her apartment. She yelled and the person fled.

Silopanna Rd., 1-99 block, 6:45 a.m. May 6. A resident discovered a strange man in her home. Police found a man walking away from the home with jewelry stolen from the home. An Annapolis man, 28, was arrested and charged with theft and first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

Roosevelt St., 1300 block, 1 to 1:10 p.m. May 4. A tan 1998 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck was stolen when it was left unlocked with the key in the ignition in front of a residence. The vehicle was recovered in the 1000 block of Park Ave.

COLUMBIA AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Basket Ring Rd., 9600 block, 11:30 a.m. May 6. A resident heard someone kick her bedroom window. Two people fled.

Broken Staff, 7500 block, 1 to 5:30 p.m. April 26. A laptop was stolen from a home. There was no sign of forced entry.

Cloudland Ct., 3000 block, 4 p.m. May 6 to 2:30 p.m. May 8. A window lock was broken and a rear slider was left ajar at a residence. Nothing was reported stolen.

Columbia Rd., 5400 block, May 2. On April 27, a male lost his keys. On May 2, the keys were used to enter his home. A laptop, sunglasses, digital cameras, purses and jewelry were stolen. The keys were found on the floor near the front door.

Greystone Lane, 8500 block, 6:20 a.m. May 4 to 12:35 a.m. May 5. A home was entered through an unlocked bedroom window. Nothing was reported stolen.

Trotting Ridge Way, 10900 block, 5:30 p.m. May 6. A side door was opened at a residence, triggering an alarm. Nothing was reported stolen.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Freetown Rd., 6500 block, 7:45 p.m. May 2. A black 2010 Toyota Camry was stolen.

Red Stream Way, 12100 block, 9:10 p.m. May 2. A gray Toyota 4Runner was stolen.

ELKRIDGE AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Ducketts Lane, 7000 block, 6 to 10 p.m. May 3. Electronics and a gun were stolen from a home entered through an unlocked door.

South Meyer Dr., 6100 block, 4 p.m. April 26 to 2 p.m. April 30. Copper piping was stolen from a construction site. There was no sign of forced entry.

ELLICOTT CITY AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Angus Valley Trail, 3500 block, 7:30 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. May 3. A pet squirrel was stolen from a home entered by breaking a glass pane in a door.

Richards Valley Rd., 5700 block, 6 p.m. May 3 to 7 a.m. May 4. Tools were stolen from a business entered through the front door. There was no sign of forced entry.

JESSUP AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Washington Blvd., 8100 block, 11:25 p.m. May 3. A rock was thrown through a side window at a scrap yard. Nothing was reported stolen.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Washington Blvd., 8500 block, 6:45 a.m. May 2. A 2000 Dodge van was stolen.

LAUREL AREA

ROBBERIES

All Saints Rd., 9100 block, 11:08 p.m. May 4. Two masked males entered a liquor store. One pushed an employee to the ground and hit him with a gun. They took cash from the registers and a lock box.

Harvest Way and Redbridge Ct., 5:47 p.m. May 4. A male grabbed a pedestrian’s phone and threatened him with a knife. He fled with two male accomplices.

MOUNT AIRY AREA

Old Frederick Rd., 17300 block, 4:55 p.m. May 7. A home was ransacked. Entry was gained through a window.

Old Frederick Rd., 14900 block, 10 p.m. May 6 to noon May 8. Cash was stolen from a home entered by prying a kitchen window.
