BROOKLYN PARK AREA

ASSAULT

Patrick Henry Dr., 5600 block, 10:05 p.m. June 26. A male knocked on a residential front door and tried to force his way inside when a resident answered, before fleeing on foot toward Church Street. The resident was stabbed in the arm during the struggle. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

GLEN BURNIE AREA

DOG ATTACK

Highland Dr., 300 block, June 21. A man and woman were attacked by a family member’s pit bull they were watching at an apartment. A police officer used an electronic control device as the dog attempted to bite the woman again. The shock killed the dog. It was unclear what caused the attacks. The man and woman were taken to a hospital with injuries that were severe but not life-threatening.

ASSAULT

Oak Manor Dr., 300 block, 10:13 p.m. June 25. Two men walking to their vehicle were stabbed by a group of six to eight males in a parking lot. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Preliminary evidence suggested this was not a random attack. An investigation was continuing.

ROBBERIES

Hideaway Loop and Hidden Brook Drive, 10 p.m. June 23. Three males approached a parked car. Two entered the vehicle and robbed an occupant at gunpoint. The male standing outside fired another gun into the air and fled.

Winborne Dr., 7800 block, 1:06 a.m. June 25. Two gunmen robbed a man of cash, a cellphone and a bottle of liquor in a parking lot. They tried to get into the man’s vehicle with him, but the vehicle owner fled on foot. The robbers also fled on foot.

LINTHICUM area

ANIMAL CRUELTY

Mountain Rd., 200 block, 2:14 p.m. June 25. A 14-year-old male stabbed his family’s 10-week-old St. Bernard puppy in his bedroom. The boy was charged as a juvenile with animal cruelty. He was taken to a hospital for medical treatment and was released to his father’s custody.

ROBBERY

Ritchie Hwy., 7100 block, 12:52 a.m. June 24. A man robbed a convenience store at knifepoint. He fled with cash.

PASADENA AREA

ASSAULT

Elizabeth Landing Way, 10:39 p.m. June 24. A detective saw what looked like marijuana in plain view in an occupied vehicle at the Brady Recreation Area. The driver refused to get out of the vehicle, and when the detective reached in to unlock the door, the driver trapped his arm in the window and dragged the detective approximately 60 feet before he fell onto the roadway. Other detectives followed the vehicle to Duvall Highway, where it stopped abruptly. The driver and a passenger were arrested; the driver first refused to exit the vehicle and punched and kicked officers. He was subdued with a Taser. A Pasadena man, 18, was charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, first- and second-degree assault, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, failure to obey, obstruction of a police investigation, destruction of property, possession of drugs and paraphernalia, and related traffic charges. A second Pasadena man, 18, was charged with possession of paraphernalia. The driver and the detective were taken to a hospital, where they were treated and released.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Duvall Highway, 12:54 a.m. June 25. An intoxicated male teenager was seen taking property from a car. Police located a suspect and found a stolen GPS device in his possession. Other people whose cars had been tampered with in the area positively identified the suspect, who became aggressive while being placed under arrest. A 17-year-old from Glen Burnie was charged as a juvenile with theft, disorderly conduct, rogue and vagabond, and second-degree assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Arundel Rd., 1-99 block, 7:30 p.m. June 22 to 11 a.m. June 23. A cellphone and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Brightwater Dr., 100 block, 8 p.m. June 21 to 8:30 a.m. June 22. A purse, a white gold and diamond necklace and a pair of white gold and diamond earrings were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Crisfield Way, 700 block, 8 p.m. June 23 to 8:30 a.m. June 24. Cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Duke Of Gloucester St., 100 block, 5:30 p.m. June 20 to noon June 24. A safe inside an office was damaged but not accessed. The building was entered by forcing a sliding glass door.

Forbes St., 100 block, 5 p.m. June 21 to 7 a.m. June 24. Cash was stolen from two businesses in the same building. Doors were pried open.

Hardwood Lane, 700 block, 10:30 p.m. June 23 to 7:30 a.m. June 24. A GPS device and a phone charger were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Silopanna Rd., 1-99 block, 12:30 a.m. June 23 to 9 p.m. June 24. A laptop computer and car keys were stolen from an unlocked apartment. The keys were used to steal a black 2005 Nissan Sentra from the parking lot. An officer spotted the car at 10:30 p.m. June 24 on Forest Drive near Parole Street and later parked in the 1900 block of West Street. The car was returned to its owner.

State Cir., 1-99 block, 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. June 24. Prescription medication was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Virginia Ave., 1600 block, 7 p.m. June 25 to 7 a.m. June 26. Prescription medication, a CD case containing 70 CDs, cash and credit cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

West St., 200 block, 8 p.m. June 20 to 8:30 a.m. June 21. Cash was stolen from a filing cabinet in a business entered by forcing open a door.

Wye Island Ct., 600 block, 9 p.m. June 21 to 7 a.m. June 22. A bulletproof vest was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

S. Acton Pl., 1-99 block, 8:30 p.m. June 22 to 11 a.m. June 23. A blue 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis was stolen.

S. Cherry Grove Ave., 1-99 block, 6:45 to 8:30 a.m. June 26. A black 2004 Honda Accord was stolen. A valet key was kept inside the ashtray.

Gibralter Ave., 100 block, 1:30 p.m. June 6. A tow truck picked up a white 1994 Mercedes station wagon that the owner had arranged to donate to charity. The charity said it never received the vehicle.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Great Star Dr., 5900 block, 5 p.m. June 25 to 6:30 a.m. June 26. Tools were stolen from a construction site container and an office trailer. A fence was found unlocked and open.

Frietchie Row, 6500 block, 5:11 p.m. June 21. A female asked a male for money, then pulled on his shirt when he refused. The male took some cash from his pocket and the female grabbed the cash and ran away.

Guilford Rd., 8900 block, 7:58 a.m. June 24. A door to a building under construction was broken. Entry was not gained.

Kilimanjaro and Merryrest roads, 9:48 p.m. June 20. A male pedestrian was hit in the head from behind and robbed of a phone and wallet by a group of five males.

Seedling Lane, 6500 block, 6 a.m. June 20 to 9 a.m. June 21. Four TVs and computer equipment were stolen from a home entered by breaking a window with a brick.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Columbia Rd., 5300 block, 7:30 a.m. June 22. A black BMW motorcycle was stolen.

Phelps Luck Dr., 5700 block, 11:19 a.m. June 20. A dark gray 2004 Nissan Quest was stolen.

Quiet Hours, 6500 block, 7:37 a.m. June 25. A gold 2002 Honda Civic was stolen.

Route 175 and Snowden River Pkwy., 6:28 a.m. June 24. A 1998 Honda was stolen from a Park and Ride lot.

Skyrock Ct., 8900 block, 7:46 a.m. June 25. A black 1996 Honda Accord was stolen.

ELKRIDGE AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Cypress Springs Rd., 5900 block, 2 to 5 p.m. June 23. Masonry workers saw a male with copper wire exit a home under construction. There was no sign of forced entry.

Furnace Ave., 5600 block, 3:15 a.m. June 25. Car batteries, copper wire and metal pipes were stolen from a recycling facility entered by cutting a hole in a door.

Hunt Club Rd., 6000 block, 4 p.m. June 25 to 8 a.m. June 26. A generator, lawn mower and chain saw were stolen from an abandoned garage entered by prying open a locked side door.

Old Waterloo Rd., 7000 block, May 25 to June 25. A TV and 25 pairs of basketball shoes were stolen from a storage unit. There was no sign of forced entry. The unit was locked with a padlock.

Summer Home Ter., 6200 block, 7:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. June 26. A jewelry box, a fire safe containing jewelry, a rifle and a shotgun were stolen from a home. A garage was entered through a dog door and an interior door was broken with an ax from the garage.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Railroad Ave., 5600 block, 4:37 a.m. June 21. A black Chevrolet Corvette was stolen.

ELLICOTT CITY AREA

ROBBERIES

Kerger Rd., 5300 block, 4:50 to 5:11 p.m. June 23. A woman met with a male teenager who had advertised a phone for sale. The teenager gave her an empty box and ran away with her money.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Columbia Rd., 4300 block, 3:31 a.m. June 22. A pool club was entered by removing a ground-level sliding window to a snack bar. A computer was used, bags of snacks were eaten, a half-empty bottle of wine was left on the grounds and lounge chairs were thrown into the pool.

Owens Ct., 4900 block, 4 p.m. June 25 to 6:30 a.m. June 26. A refrigerator and microwave oven were stolen from a house under construction entered through an unlocked front door.

JESSUP AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Washington Blvd., 8800 block, 12:28 a.m. June 24. A window at a business was broken, and a witness reported seeing several people carrying items from the business. Stolen items were recovered.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Preston Ct., 8200 block, 4:14 a.m. June 24. A box truck was stolen.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Brewington Lane, 9200 block, 11:40 a.m. June 21. A male was seen running away from a basement window after a resident heard a loud noise. A screen was removed.

Country Meadows Lane, 9700 block, 1 p.m. June 26. A man entered an apartment with a key and fled when the resident saw him.

Eastern Morning Run, 8600 block, 6 p.m. June 17 to 8 a.m. June 19. A window screen was pried off a window at a residence.

Fall Rain Dr., 10000 block, 2:30 to 2:45 p.m. June 21. A bike was stolen from an open garage.

High Ridge Rd., 10100 block, 5 p.m. June 23 to 6:57 a.m. June 24. A window was broken at a building. Nothing was reported missing.

Washington Blvd., 10000 block, 6 p.m. June 22 to 9 a.m. June 24. Four rims and tires were stolen from an automotive business entered by cutting a hole in a fence.

Foxborough Dr., 8800 block, 8:03 p.m. June 21. A TV, shoes and jewelry were stolen from a home entered by breaking a kitchen window.
