BROOKLYN PARK AREA
ROBBERIES

Elizabeth Ave., 100 block, 4:15 p.m. Aug. 17. A male struck an acquaintance at a residence with a skateboard, then fled with a video game system. The acquaintance was taken to a hospital. The investigation was continuing.

Ritchie Hwy. and 10th Ave., 1:43 a.m. Aug. 21. A male got out of a vehicle that had been stopped near a male pedestrian. After a brief conversation, he and anther male from the vehicle threatened the pedestrian, then robbed him of his wallet and a cellphone.

GLEN BURNIE AREA
ROBBERIES

Ritchie Hwy., 7900 block, 6:07 p.m. Aug. 19. A man threatened a man walking through a parking lot and robbed him of cash, then chased him to a parked vehicle, where he threatened a woman and robbed her of cash from her purse. The assailant fled in a vehicle driven by another man. A Glen Burnie man, 19, and a Baltimore man, 18, were arrested. Charges included robbery, second-degree assault, theft, and rogue and vagabond.

PASADENA AREA
HOMICIDES

Ritchie Hwy., 8100 block, 2:47 p.m. Aug. 6. The body of 20-year-old Jessica Lynn Lee was found in a wooded area. The Brooklyn Park woman had been reported missing in May. Her identity was determined Aug. 17, and police were investigating the death as a homicide.

Harlem Ave.,400 block, Aug. 21. In connection with the Aug. 12 slaying of a 50-year-old Pasadena man inside his home, a male was found driving the deceased man’s vehicle in North Carolina. A Pasadena male was charged with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and credit card theft.

ASSAULTS

Maryland Ave., 300 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 17. A man forced his way into an acquaintance’s home and threatened her at gunpoint. After a standoff with police, the man was subdued with a stun gun. A Glen Burnie man, 19, was charged with first-degree assault, burglary, reckless endangerment and several weapons offenses. No injuries were reported in connection with the robbery.

SEVERN AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Arwell Ct., 1800 block, 12:22 p.m. Aug. 20. Electronics were stolen from a residence. Two people were seen leaving the home with the property and stashing it in a nearby wooded area. A man, 19, of no fixed address, was charged with burglary and theft. The stolen property was recovered. The investigation was continuing.

ASSAULTS

Rosemary St., unit block, 3:30 a.m. Aug. 18. Two men forced their way into a residence and attacked an occupant, then fled empty-handed. No serious injuries were reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Amos Garrett Blvd., unit block, 11:30 a.m. Aug. 19. An attempt was made to break into a garage. Three male teenagers were charged with attempted burglary.

Bay Ridge Ave., 800 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 7. A bicycle was stolen from a driveway.

Carriage Run Ct., unit block, 8 p.m. Aug. 12 to 10 a.m. Aug. 13. A purse, a wallet, a backpack, sunglasses, cash and horseback-riding equipment were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Edgewood Rd., 7000 block, 2 p.m. Aug. 17 to noon Aug. 20. Two motors were stolen from a boat.

Forbes St., 200 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 13 to 7:30 a.m. Aug. 14. Two laptop computers, checks and cash were stolen from a business entered by forcing a front door.

Georgetown Ct., 100 block, 9 p.m. Aug. 9 to noon Aug. 10. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle. It was recovered at 8 p.m. Aug. 10 on Edgewood Road near Tallwood Road. Cash was missing.

Hunt Meadow Dr., 1700 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 15 to 4 a.m. Aug. 16. Two bicycles were stolen from a front porch.

Linden Ave., 300 block, 9 to 10 a.m. Aug. 22. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a back door. Nothing was reported missing.

Main St., 100 block, Aug. 21. A cellphone was stolen. An Annapolis man, 48, was arrested. The property was recovered.

Old Solomons Island Rd., unit block, 5 p.m. Aug. 10 to 8 a.m. Aug. 13. Three laptop computers were stolen from a business. There was no sign of forced entry.

Randall St., unit block, 10 p.m. Aug. 15 to 8 a.m. Aug. 16. A mountain bike was stolen from a front porch.

Riverview Ave., 300 block, 10 a.m. Aug. 9 to 9 a.m. Aug. 10. A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Royal St., 900 block, noon to 8 p.m. Aug. 3. Cash was stolen from a residence entered by kicking the front door.

West St., 900 block, noon Aug. 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 10. A mountain bike was stolen from a side yard of a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Newtowne Dr. near Juiliana Cir., 8 p.m. Aug. 13 to 9 a.m. Aug. 14. A black 2006 Ford flatbed tow truck was stolen.

Wellington Pl., unit block, 5 p.m Aug. 11 to 10 a.m. Aug. 13. A 1987, red-and-black, Yamaha all-terrain vehicle was stolen from the back yard of a residence. The vehicle was recovered in the 1200 block of Madison Street.

CLARKSVILLE AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Clarksville Pike, 12400 block, 5:15 a.m. Aug. 16. A male wearing a mask entered a liquor store by breaking glass in a front door, then tried unsuccessfully to break into a safe. The male then broke glass in the front door of a pizza restaurant, where he kicked open an office door. He fled empty-handed.

COLUMBIA AREA
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bucksaw Ct., 5400 block, 10:30 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. Aug. 16. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a sliding-glass door.

Cardinal Lane, 6200 block, noon Aug. 17 to 6 p.m. Aug. 19. A safe containing cash and jewelry was stolen from a residence entered by smashing a sliding-glass door with a rock. The safe had been bolted to the floor.

Quarterstaff Rd., 10600 block, 6:05 a.m. Aug. 16. A purse and a wallet were stolen from a residence entered through an open garage.

Silver Arrows Way, 6100 block, 4 p.m. Aug. 17 to 9 a.m. Aug. 18. A townhouse was entered through a sliding-glass door to a deck. Property was moved, but nothing was reported missing.

Stebbing Way, 9000 block, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 19. A watch and two jars of coins were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a sliding-glass door with a landscape rock.

Tamebird Ct., 8800 block, 9:49 p.m. Aug. 20. Clothes, shoes and a video game system were stolen from a residence entered through a rear window.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Berger Rd., 9500 block, 7:24 a.m. Aug. 16. A 20-foot construction trailer was stolen.

Dobbin Rd., 6300 block, 12:24 p.m. Aug. 19. A 2012 Dodge Charger was stolen.

Stevens Forest Rd., 5700 block, 5 p.m. Aug. 19 to 6:45 a.m. Aug. 20. Attempts were made to steal a 2005 Kia Spectra and a 2003 Nissan Sentra by tampering with the ignitions. Property was stolen from both vehicles.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Dorsey Run Rd., 7100 block, 2:26 p.m. Aug. 16. A black 2007 Honda Pilot was stolen.

Old Waterloo Rd., 6700 block, 8:30 p.m. Aug. 15 to 8:05 a.m. Aug. 16. A motorcycle was stolen.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Roscommon Dr., 3300 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 15 to 5 p.m. Aug. 17. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing the front door. Nothing was reported missing.

Roscommon Dr., 3300 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 9 to Aug. 17. Jewelry was stolen from a residence entered by breaking glass in a basement door.

LAUREL AREA
ROBBERIES

Barrel House Rd., 9600 block, 3:30 p.m. Aug. 19. Three males followed two people from a fast-food restaurant on All Saints Road, then threatened one of them and robbed him of a cellphone and a hat.

Stansfield Rd., 10200 block, 7:17 p.m. Aug. 20. A man gave a ride to a man he encountered outside a prayer meeting. While the vehicle was moving, the passenger showed a gun and announced a carjacking. The motorist wrested the weapon from the passenger, who then fled the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Canterbury Riding, 9300 block, 5 to 9 a.m. Aug. 19. A TV was stolen from a townhouse entered by cutting a screen of a side window.

Covered Wagon Dr., 9700 block, 8:15 a.m. to 3:47 p.m. Aug. 21. Coins and a bag of candy were stolen from an apartment entered through an unlocked window.

Thamesmeade Rd., 9100 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 17 to 4 p.m. Aug. 19. Two bicycles were stolen from an apartment complex’s locked storage room. A boy found riding one of them in the neighborhood said that he had found it on a footpath in a wooded area.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Bourbon St., 19100 block, 10:42 a.m. Aug. 16. A Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen.

Redbridge Ct., 9200 block, 3:08 p.m. Aug. 18. A blue 2007 Dodge was stolen.

Old Frederick Rd., 12400 block, 8 p.m. Aug. 14 to noon Aug. 16. Two off-road motorcycles were stolen from a trailer entered by cutting locks with bolt cutters.

Baltimore St., 8900 block, 4:49 a.m. Aug. 21. A restaurant was entered by kicking a side door. A drawer was removed from a cash register, but nothing was reported missing.

Frederick Rd., 12800 block, 4:33 a.m. Aug. 17. A pizza restaurant was entered by forcing a deadbolt on the front door. Nothing was reported missing.
